About UsDr Jenny Browne (PhD) is one of Western Australia's most published and respected educators and academic authors. Following a teaching and publishing career spanning forty years, Jenny took early retirement as an Associate Professor and Head of School of Arts and Humanities Education at Edith Cowan University in 1995. She then developed, and became a founding Director, of two acclaimed educational publishing businesses, B&G Resources and Innovative Business Resources. In the process, Jenny authored and co-authored more than a hundred books and manuals, particularly in post-compulsory education, and especially in small business management and physical education. Jenny then ventured into fiction with an historical novel, Sarjan. After becoming discouraged with mainstream publishers, Jenny initially self-published Sarjan in 2002, and it turned out to be such a resounding success that Sarjan has been re-released in 2009. Angela Smith has a background in community education that dates back more than thirty years. Born in England, and a Fairbridge 'survivor', she has lived and worked in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria. Her public service experience includes administration, research, and policy development in Social Welfare, Health and the Environment. As an Honours graduate in Applied Science, Angela is a hands on research scientist, and has also managed wholesale plant nurseries, winery and mine site laboratories. Having a talent for writing as she speaks - clearly and concisely - Angela has already produced a multitude of information packages and training manuals - for staff, customers and the general public - and is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in Writing. Although from opposite poles, in terms of socio-economic backgrounds, Jenny and Angela are both down to earth characters, with a very strong sense of honesty, social justice and equity - hence an emphasis on ethical authoring and publishing, in their joint venture, Sarjan's Legacy
